Feeding the Nation Exhibition

The Land Army exhibition is now open to the public. The ‘Feeding The Nation’ project will continue throughout 2013 and the exhibition will be developed and added to over this period.

Women’s Land Army Museum
Little Farthingloe Farm, Folkestone Rd, Dover, CT15 7AA
This is the only museum whose exhibition is solely on the Women’s Land Army. The Museum gives a fascinating insight into the life for women serving their country during the Second World War. The exhibition consists of personal letters from ex-WLA girls, authentic uniforms and factual information.

Norfolk’s Forgotten Army Exhibition at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse
Gressenhall, Dereham, Norfolk, NR20 4DR
‘The Norfolk’s Forgotten Army’ exhibition at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse forms a small part of the collections held at the museum. The exhibition compromises of original uniforms and documents from both World War One and Two. Visitors also have the opportunity to listen to recordings of some Norfolk Land Girls recounting their war-time days. There are also some interactive activities aimed at children, again making the collection accessible to families.

Eden Camp

The Eden Camp collections on the Women’s Land Army are exhibited in Hut 8: ‘Women At War’. There are a number of original documents , such as ‘The Landswoman’ and ‘The Land Girl’ magazines, postcards and letters.
